3 Tips to Increase Sales with Social Media Marketing

Social media is one of the best ways to connect with your audience and attract countless prospective customers. It’s also a great way to generate sales when you use the right techniques.

Here are 3 tips to increase sales with social media:

  • Interactive Posts: Create content like contests and giveaways to encourage people to interact. These types of posts spread beyond your followers, especially if you make sharing and tagging part of the entry rules.

  • User-Generated Content: 79% of people say user-generated content highly impacts their purchasing decisions. If you have customers sharing positive experiences with your brand, share that content.

  • Shoppable Posts: On Instagram, you can tag products and services in your stories and posts where customers can instantly go to the website to purchase what you are promoting.

8 Incredible Tools for Any Small Business

For many small and medium-sized businesses, it’s not feasible to hire people that only specialize in one business function. Rarely do you need a full-time graphic designer, videographer, or business analyst.

Instead, you need employees that are capable of wearing many different hats and completing a variety of tasks throughout the week.

If this sounds like your company, then here are 8 incredible tools to help with everything from graphic design to decision-making:

  • Witeboard: Shareable online whiteboard
  • Blush: Illustrations for everyone
  • Carrd: Simple, fully responsive one-page sites
  • Whatruns: Discover what runs a website
  • Coverr: Free stock videos
  • Flourish: Data visualization and storytelling
  • Untools: Tools for better thinking
  • Lumen5: Create videos in minutes

3 Times You Should Use A/B Testing

Anyone familiar with Noetic Marketer will know how much we appreciate the power of A/B tests and the valuable information they deliver!

And while A/B tests are useful in a variety of scenarios, there are three specific times when they can be especially helpful in making informed decisions.

  • When Trying to Identify Pain Points: If you suspect a specific pain point in the customer journey is hindering success, the easiest way to test this idea is through an A/B test. For example, if you think your landing page is too long and is overwhelming the reader, resulting in a lower conversion rate than you'd like, a great thing to test would be a landing page with shorter and more concise copy. If the conversion rate of the landing page with the shorter copy is higher than the page with the longer copy, then you know you found your pain point! If not, it's time to look elsewhere, perhaps at the call-to-action or colour choices.

  • To Increase Engagement: Humans are fickle, changing how and what they want to engage with on a regular basis. To ensure you are maximizing engagement, you can run frequent A/B tests with different messaging or design elements to see what encourages people to interact with your content most. For example, you could test casual vs. formal messaging, short-form vs. long-form video, or GIFs vs. photos!

  • To Maximize Return on Investment: If you know in advance you are going to make a large investment towards a certain campaign, say a Black Friday email campaign, then it's wise to test the messaging and branding of that campaign prior to full-scale launch. You can do this by incorporating similar messaging and branding into a current campaign to see which version performs better. This will allow you to optimize your big-budget campaign before you even launch it!
