Hi , here's your monthly Dose of Noetic!

It's hard to believe that another year has almost come and gone. As we approach the end of 2022, it's time to start thinking about the coming year and what trends will dominate the digital marketing landscape in 2023.

Here are a few of the top trends to watch out for:

  1. Real-Time Messaging: Real-time messaging allows you to personalize your messaging and shorten your conversion cycle in a way most tools can’t. Find a platform that works for you and implement it into your strategy.

  1. Video-Based Content: Video-based content continues to command the digital marketing landscape. If you haven’t already, now is the time to incorporate video whenever and wherever possible.

  1. Influencer Marketing: Influencer marketing should not be restricted to beauty products or clothes. Businesses of all types can lean on successful individuals that appeal to their target audience to help market their products or services.

  1. Email Marketing: Email marketing continues to be one of the highest-returning forms of digital marketing. It’s cheap, effective, and utilizes a universally used platform. It’s been around forever and isn’t going anywhere in 2023.

You can read Digital Marketer’s blog post to learn more about their take on 2023’s digital marketing trends.

Email marketing can be a huge part of a successful company's sales process. But the recipient has to open the email for it to work.

Here are seven ways to improve your subject lines, so they do just that.

  1. Use FOMO, Scarcity and Urgency: Deal ends tonight. Last chance to get 30% off!
  2. Make it Personal: Hey Chris, we have what you’re looking for!
  3. Ask a Question: Haven’t you always wanted a beautiful garden?
  4. Use Lists and Numbers: Three ways to save 15% on your next order!
  5. Ask for Action: Book a free consultation today!
  6. Use Wit or Humour: Wait, before you hit delete…
  7. Create a Sense of Mystery: This information will change everything.

Search engine optimization can feel pretty daunting. All those technical terms, all those rules to follow... it's enough to make your head spin. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Here are three things you can do to get started right away.

  1. Optimize Your Title Tags: Try to keep your title tags (the name of your page) between 50 and 70 characters long (don’t worry if it exceeds this by a bit). For your home page, simply use your company name. For all other pages, use the name of the product, service, or page first, followed by your company name. For example, our digital strategy service page is titled "Digital Strategy | Noetic Marketer."

  1. Optimize Your Metadescriptions: Try to keep your metadescriptions to a length of ~155 characters (again, not the end of the world if you exceed this). More importantly, include the primary keyword the page is targeting and close with a request for action. For example, the metadescription for our content marketing page includes our primary keyword (content marketing services) and closes by asking the searcher to "contact us."

  1. Optimize Your Page Headings: Perhaps the easiest and most impactful way to immediately improve your SEO is to optimize your page headings. As best as possible, include your primary keyword in the H1 heading and its variations in your H2 and H3 headings. For example, the H1 on our SEO page is "Search Engine Optimization Services," and our H2s and H3s include "Search Engine Marketing Services" and "SEO Process."

These three easy steps will get you headed in the right direction and have you well-positioned to tackle more complex strategies in the future.
